Marco Anthony Archer (built-in Oct xi, 1994),[two] better known past his phase name Phora, is an American rapper from Anaheim, California. In 2011, he founded his own record label, Yours Truly.[iii]
In Feb 2017, Phora announced signed a major label deal with Warner Bros. Records.[one] And so far, Phora has written and released eleven albums, bulk of which relates to his by struggles with depression. These include Still a Kid, 1 Life to Live, Sincerely Yours, Nights Like These, Angels with Cleaved Wings, With Love, Heartbreak Hotel, and his debut anthology Yours Truly Forever. In 2018, he released a follow-up to his debut anthology, titled Love Is Hell. In July 2019, Phora left his record deal with Warner Bros. Records and subsequently released his new album with Emmanuel Mendoza Herrero entitled Bury Me with Dead Roses. In 2020, he released his quaternary studio album, With Love ii.
Early life [edit]
Marco Archer was built-in in Anaheim, California. Before his career in music, he worked as a tattoo artist which proved to be relatively lucrative and aided in the funding of his rap career. In 2011, Marco was nearly stabbed to death in Anaheim, CA merely outside of Trident Learning Eye, now known every bit Gilbert High.[4] He has survived a stabbing and two shootings.[5] [six] [vii] [viii] On Baronial 25, 2015, While he was driving on the 210 motorway in Pasadena around 2 a.thousand., a grey Infiniti sedan pulled upwards aslope Archer, who was driving home with his then girlfriend, Destiny. 3 (3) bullets from a .45 quotient pistol were fired into his back and cervix, narrowly missing his vertebra. The crime remains unsolved.[ix]
Musical style [edit]
Growing upwardly, Archer was strongly influenced past graffiti to make music and influenced by his father to pursue music.[10] In his song The World from his album Angels With Cleaved Wings (2015) he calls J. Cole, Hopsin and Logic the only rappers he likes. His musical mode tin can besides be defined past his producer Anthro Beats.[11]
